Return and Refund Policy
The purpose of this Policy is to set out the procedure to be followed for returns and refunds, as well as the terms and conditions applicable. Our Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all use of our Service and together with the Return and Refund Policy constitute your agreement with us (“Agreement”). Words defined in our Terms have the same meaning in this Policy unless otherwise indicated.
We only offer quality products from trusted suppliers and want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. It is our top priority to see that our customers are satisfied with their purchases. In the unlikely event that you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we have a simple returns policy. We will be happy to repair or replace any items to better meet your needs.
1. Returns and Exchanges
It is your responsibility to ensure that the product/s ordered are appropriate for their intended use and/or application and that they are installed, commissioned, and operated by a competent person.
Please ensure that we receive written notice of any returns and exchanges by email to info@electricalsuperstore.co.za within seven days after the goods have been delivered to you.
The following conditions apply:
- Purchased product/s can be returned for an exchange or refund within seven days of receipt provided the items are returned unused, untested, and in a re-saleable condition. Product/s must be in the original manufacturer's packaging, with all accessories, components, promotional items, instruction manuals, etc. as received with delivery. For your protection, product/s must be returned freight prepaid, securely wrapped to prevent damage during shipping, and insured for their full value.
- When you return product/s to us, they must be in the same condition as when you received them. Used or damaged product/s with missing accessories, components, promotional items, instruction manuals, etc. will not be acceptable. Please be sure to include all accessories, components, promotional items, instruction manuals, etc. In the unlikely event that any of the accessories, components, promotional items, instruction manuals, etc. missing, their value will be determined and will be for your account. Thus, reducing the amount available to be used for any exchange, store credit, or refund, if issued.
- Product/s will be subject to inspection and testing by our technicians, as well as the supplier and/or manufacturer before any replacements or exchanges are offered.
- Product/s damaged due to improper use or wear and tear will not be covered under this policy. No credit will be issued for product/s that have been found to be obsolete, damaged, or altered in any way or where there is clear evidence that the product/s have been tampered with or altered.
- If a refund is approved, the refund of the purchase price will be done within thirty days after receiving the request for a return and refund. The refund will be done to the same account where the payment originated from.
2. Handling Fees
There are no handling fees for unopened, unused, or untested product/s returned within seven days. A ten percent handling fee will be charged on opened, used, or damaged products to cover our processing, packaging, shipping expenses, and payment processor fees. Additional fees may apply if the product/s are not returned in their original packaging.
3. Return Shipping
No refunds are offered for any shipping expenses for product/s returned. This will include but not be limited to road freight, rail freight, ocean freight, air freight, and express or international shipping. We will not accept any claims made by any other entity, such as customs, brokerage fees, etc.
4. Damage During Shipping
Inspect product/s immediately upon delivery before the carrier leaves. If there are any signs of physical damage or missing items, do not accept the delivery. Please ensure that we receive written notice of any damages during shipping by email to info@electricalsuperstore.co.za upon delivery.
5. Defective and/or Damaged Products
It is your responsibility to ensure that the product/s ordered are appropriate for their intended use and/or application and that they are installed, commissioned, and operated by a competent person.
Please ensure that we receive written notice of defective and/or damaged product/s by email to info@electricalsuperstore.co.za within twenty-four hours after the goods have been delivered to you.
- Defective and/or damaged product/s will be subject to inspection and testing by our technicians, as well as the supplier and/or manufacturer. If credit is offered, it will cover the cost of the product/s and delivery costs (if and where applicable).
- Do not discard the shipping and manufacturer`s/suppliers packaging to facilitate an investigation.
- Product/s damaged due to improper use or wear and tear will not be covered under this policy. No credit will be issued for product/s that have been found to be obsolete, damaged, or altered in any way or where there is clear evidence that the product/s have been tampered with or altered.
- If the inspection and testing determine that the products returned are not defective, a handling fee of ten percent will be charged. You must pay the handling fee and arrange at your expense for the product/s to be collected. Products not collected within seven days will be sold to cover expenses and no credit will be issued.
- If a refund is approved, the refund of the purchase price and delivery cost (if and where applicable) will be done within thirty days after receiving the notification. The refund will be done to the same account where the payment originated from.
